Week 8

The class took a trip to 21C Museum Hotel in Louisville, KY. We were given a tour by the Vice president of 21C to understand what would be taking the place of the metropole in downtown Cincinnati.

Week 7

Our class split into two groups. One Group of students had a vist with a local resident of The Metropole. Other students went on a tour of The Gateway Quarter with a local resident of the Metroploe.

Our class went on a tour of Over the Rhine led by a local metropole resident. Students learned about section 8 housing and the lack of low income housing within the city's center.

Our class had a visit with two local residents of the metropole. Students were able to talk with them about their lives, outlooks on low income housing and the revitalization of the city.

Our class went on a tour of Over the Rhine, Led by Bonnie Neumeier from Peaslee Center. Students met neighborhood residents and heard stories of Over the Rhine.

Our class visited renovation projects on the 1400 block of Vine Street in the Gateway District of Over-the-Rhine. Along that block, uninhabited buildings are being turned into retail and residential units.
