One group went to the 3CDC site at 1400 Vine Street and photographed the construction there while the other group returned to the Drop Inn Center to work with the writing group. Working in pairs with men from the group, they produced poems with the prompt "We are:" to accompany images. The poems sought to capture a collective voice that has been formed in dialogue between the students and the writing group participants.

One group from the class returned to the Drop Inn Center this week. On the way there each student chose a poem written by one of the members of the Drop Inn Center's creative writing group and captured images on our walk to match the writing. The other group photographed at the Belmain, a newly renovated living space by 3CDC.

Building on our previous meeting with the men's writing group, SCPA students continued to develop their relationships with Drop Inn Center residents by working one on one to develop a series of creative portraits. Other memebers of the SCPA class visited a construction site on the 1400 block of Vine street which consists of several buildings being developed for mixed residential and retail use. This is one of many projects coordinated by 3CDC and is being managed by The Northpoint Group.
